Structural formula

Reduced Glutathione, N (N-L-γ-Glutamyl-L-cysteinyl) glycine
C10H17N3O6S(307.32)
Structure features:
1. A thiol group, which is responsible for anti-oxidation and detoxification activity.
2. A unique amide bond, which just can be hydrolyzed by γ-glutamyl transferase existing in lateral cell membrane. That's why GSH is more stable in cell than other tri-peptides.
